How Training Runs

Training is built in three parts: pool sessions, supporting lectures, and open water practice. The supplied material describes winter pool and theory work, followed by open water development through the main season.

Advanced Courses

Advanced options mentioned in the uploaded text include Nitrox, Advanced Nitrox, Extended Range, Search and Recovery, RNLI Sea Survival, Seasearch, Underwater Photography, Full Face Mask, and Coxswain certification.

Lectures cover equipment, diving physics, medical issues, dive tables and computers, respiration, buoyancy, rescue, planning, and maintenance.
Pool work covers snorkelling, kit assembly, entries and exits, surface swimming, weighting, mask and mouthpiece drills, out of air procedures, controlled lifts, casualty handling, CPR, and simple underwater navigation.
Open water training expands those skills into lakes, rivers, and sea conditions under supervision.
